There is huge anticipation among drivers, teams and organizers of the German Kart Championship. After a long winter break and weeks of uncertainty about whether the 2021 DKM could take place as planned at all - now it's here. The 1.107m long track in Kerpen is the location of the kick-off to an exciting season.

The German Kart Championship is going to start into its 59th racing season next weekend (May 7th – 9t), as planned, and is popular among local and foreign drivers again. 115 participants are going to compete on the traditional Erftlandring in Kerpen.

Four weeks before the start of the fourth German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) season, the event’s promoter IKmedia and technical partner BRP-Rotax decided to adjust the race calendar for the 2021 season. It now includes four events as part of the DKM and the Rotax MAX Challenge Germany.

From May 7^th – 9^th, the German Kart Championship is going to start into its new season on the Erftlandring in Kerpen. The highest German kart racing series is going to offer a strong platform with an extensive program again. The registrations for guest drivers will be possible from April 1^st. 

A few weeks ago, the German Kart Championship presented its innovative racing program for the 2021 season. But a few changes caused criticism among long-standing teams and drivers. The organizers took this to heart and adjusted the racing program once again. Among these adjustments are the lowering of the DMSB Shifterkart Cup registration fee as well as not merging the two shifterkart categories DSKM and DSKC.

After the DKM race calendar 2021 was published at the beginning of December, now improvements for the upcoming season followed. There are several changes, which make for more attractiveness for the participants, thereby the entry fees will stay the same.

After one of the shortest DKM seasons in years, the highest German Kart Championship presents the race calendar for 2021. On five weekends racers will drive on the best racetracks in Germany and Belgium. The kick-off will take place in May, with the final taking place at the beginning of October.

This upcoming weekend, the German Kart Championship ends in the motorsport arena Oschersleben. After 2016, the track is again represented in the racing calendar of the highest German car separation series and expects exciting race decisions in the four predicates.  

After 2018, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) returns to Oschersleben and will host the final races on the track in the Magdeburg Börde. Due to the Corona pandemic, the 2020 season is particularly short. Less than two months after the start of the season at the end of August in Kerpen, the drivers will now head to Oschersleben for the final. In the meantime, the world’s first electric kart championship completed two race weekends in Wackersdorf.
